There are several ways for individuals and organizations to support us. Follow the links below to learn more.
Food Donations
The Parker Task Force Food Bank appreciates all your food donations!
See our Current Needs List for a printable copy of our NONPERISHABLE needs. We ask that your donations not be expired or opened.
We also accept fresh PERISHABLE items such as meats, fruits, vegetables, bakery items and dairy products such as milk, butter and eggs. During cold weather months, we can also accept new or lightly-used coats, hats, gloves and boots.
Donations may be dropped off at our location:
19105 Longs Way, Parker CO 80134
We are open Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM.
Please note that we are closed on Sunday, Monday and Thursday.
Food Drives
Virtually all non-perishable food is donated by our community. This is accomplished through the periodic Saturday food drives and through other local food drives held by churches, schools, businesses, social organizations, grocery stores and individual community members.
On the Saturdays listed below, Food Drives are conducted outside local King Soopers, Safeway and Walmart stores to make it easy for the community to support Parker Task Force. These Food Drives provide a substantial portion of the food that stocks Nancy’s Market, our “client choice” grocery store. Food Drive volunteers work on-site distributing “needed items” lists to shoppers as they enter area grocery stores, then collect grocery donations as shoppers leave.
If you or your organization (church, business, school or fraternal) would like to volunteer at a Saturday food drive, conduct a food drive to benefit Parker Task Force or coordinate another special project, please contact us at 303-841-3460 during regular business hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday or Saturday, 9 AM to 1 PM.
A hearty thank you to all food drive donors and volunteers! We couldn’t stock the shelves of the food bank without you!

Gift Cards
We welcome donations of local store gift cards. These are used to help purchase perishable food to stock our grocery store including milk, eggs, cheese, meat and produce. Gift cards may occasionally be used to help support clients experiencing extraordinary hardships.
Gift cards to the following stores are most appreciated: King Soopers, Safeway, Sprouts, Walmart, Target and Kohls.
Loyalty Programs
Do You Shop at King Soopers?
Support the Parker Task Force by linking your King Soopers Loyalty Card to the Parker Task Force. This is a simple and automatic way to support the Parker Task Force every time you grocery shop. It doesn’t cost anything, and it doesn’t affect the gas points you earn. Each quarter, King Soopers will send a donation to Parker Task Force based on the dollar amount of purchases made with card registered in the Community Rewards program.
Sign-in to your King Soopers account, go to My Account -> Community Rewards and select Parker Task Force. Questions? Learn more about the King Soopers Community Rewards Program.
Volunteer
“Volunteering at the Parker Task Force for nearly 25 years has truly been a gift in my life! By far, my best experience has been interviewing the folks who have needed some assistance, so many dear people and success stories.”
Genese, PTF Volunteer
The Parker Task Force staff is comprised solely of volunteers. We currently operate with a staff of over 100 active volunteers, most of whom have been with us an average of eight years.
Core Volunteers are the backbone of our organization! Committing to work one shift each week, most of our daily team members average from eight to 20 hours per month. These volunteers fulfill essential client-facing roles as Team Leaders, Client Advocates and Shopping Assistants as well as in critical behind-the-scenes Data Entry, Grocery Stocker and Sorter positions.
Students needing community service hours to satisfy graduation requirements are welcome at Parker Task Force. Students may serve as grocery stockers and sorters or be assigned to help with special projects. Please reach out early in the school year to inquire about availability.
Short-Term & Group Volunteer Opportunities assisting with monthly Food Drives and other special events are often available for individuals, families and groups. If you or your organization (church, business, school or fraternal) would like to spearhead a food collection project, or staff one of our scheduled Food Drives, please call or email.
Questions about volunteering? Please call 303-841-3460. Please DO NOT leave a message or send an e-mail, but call during our business hours, Tue, Wed, Fri & Sat from 9 am until 1 pm
